5 posts from all page 15s

The first book that I picked is Knights of the Crusades. The author is Jay Williams and the book published in New York by Harper & Row, Publishers. 1965 is the year that the book published. Author describes some wars in details. For example; "The English sheltered themselves behind the wall of their shields. Their Shields were made of linden wood, very tough and close grained, and covered with lether."

The other book that I choose is The Development of Memory in Children. Robert Kail wrote this book in 1950. It published in 1979 by W.H Freeman and Company. It printed in the USA. Author made a lot of research to prove his thoughts. "Differences between groups were found, but not all positions." As he said sometimes he dould not find the perfect samples for his research.

Celtic Warfare 1595-1763 was the other book that I choose. James Michael Hill's book published by John Donald Publishers LTD in 1986, in Edinburgh. The author gives a deep historical information to us. "By the sixteenth century clan organization was firmly grounded in the feudal lord-vassal relationship that was introduced in Scotland by the Normans int he 12th adn 13th centuries." As we can understand from his statement he is an author who has a command on his area.

The forth book that choose was Mark Twain:The Fate of Humor. James M. Cox is the author of the book that published in 1966 by Princeton University Press which is in New Jersey. Book contains a lot of proper noun, approximately in every sentences. As we can see in this statement; "But the Snodgrass letters confined Clemens to the ignorant and illiterate utterance of Snodgrass, whereas the literate Mark Twain allowed him a full range of style and expression." Therefore I strongly suggest to take notes. Thus you can check your notes when you don't remember what those words stand for.

The last book that I picked is Alfred H. Burne's book The Battlefields of England. Methuen & Company in London and Barnes & Nobles in New York published the book in 1950 and reprinted in 1973. Book contains some war stories from medival era. It gives us persuasive arguments like "On September 28th, 1066, William the Bastard, duke of Normandy, set sail from St. Valery to enforce his claim to the throne of England."
